Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002 PC)

What you need

• The PC game (2002): its installed folder, or the game CD as an .iso file.
• A supported browser: Chrome, Edge or Firefox on a computer, or Chrome/Firefox on Android.
• Not supported: iPhone and iPad.

Find your game folder

Look for a folder with this name:

Harry Potter and the Chamber of SecretsCopy

It contains these folders:

MapsCopy SystemCopy TexturesCopy SoundsCopy MusicCopy HelpCopy

Files to search for:

• HP2_Master.utxCopy inside Textures (the sure one)
• HGame.uCopy inside System. HP1 also has an HGame.u, so HP2_Master.utx is the one to rely on.

How to search:

• Windows: open File Explorer → This PC → type the name in the search box.
• Mac: press ⌘ Space and type the name, or use Finder's search.

Then choose the folder one level above Textures.

Or use the game CD as an .iso

If you have the CD as an .iso file, you don't need an installed folder. The game files are unpacked from it inside your browser; nothing is uploaded and the original installer never runs.

If the .iso is open as a disc on your computer, eject it first.

Play

1. Click Play now.
2. Click Choose your game folder and pick the folder you found above, or click I have the game CD as an .iso file and pick the .iso.
3. If the browser asks to “upload” files, say yes. They stay on your device.
4. Wait for the one-time install, then click Start playing.

Your saves

Saves are stored in this browser on this computer. Click Save backup in the game to download a file, and Restore backup to load it again, for example after clearing browser data or on another computer.

Problems

• “This folder does not contain the game”: you picked the wrong folder. Pick the one that contains Textures with HP2_Master.utx inside.
• “This doesn’t look like the original game folder”: pick the folder the game was installed to, not a copy made by another tool.
• “This file is not the game CD”: pick the .iso of the Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets CD.
• “The .iso file could not be read”: if it is open as a disc on this computer, eject it and try again.
• “This browser cannot run the game”: switch to Chrome, Edge or Firefox.
